Airing Requirements / Guidlines
ALL
PROGRAMS must conform to established cablecast time frames. Programs
are schedule in "even" time frames, i.e. 30 minutes and
60 minutes.
Programs
can be submitted on Beta; Mini DV; DVD; DVC Pro and DV Cam tape
with thirty seconds of control track but no picture of any kind.
The
audio should also be on one track. Track 2
There
will be an initial channel set - up cost of $80.00
Programs
should be submitted two weeks prior to airdate. No program will
be scheduled until it is completed and in our possession.
All
programs are subject to PG ACTS cablecast requirements and will
be viewed by staff before permission to air is granted. All producers
who are granted air time after review of their program will be required
to sign a cablecast agreement which gives PG ACTS permission to
air the programs as well as indemnifies PG ACTS from and action
taken due to the content of failure to obtain proper releases for
copyright material in the program.
PG
ACTS reserves the right to refuse airtime for programs that:

Have
over/under-modulated audio. |

Have
low video levels. |
| —› |
Experience
tracking problems |

Have
excessive dropout. |
| —› |
Have
breaks in control track or bad control track. |

Have
any other technical problems that affect the ability of the
machinery to cablecast the program without problems or "glitches" |

Contain
profanity, obscenity nudity, one sided political statements
or lottery information. Any advertising which would be morally
offensive, including but not limited to any and all R or X-rated
movie advertising; advertising for contraceptives, alcoholic
beverages, feminine hygiene products of a personal nature;
and advertising containing desirable connotations in reference
to the occult, witchcraft, astrology, horoscopes, magic (such
as mystic science), gambling, tobacco products, controlled
substances or sexual promiscuity |

Producers
can insert commercials within their time slot but cannot sell
broadcast time inside of their program. |
Preparation
of Tapes for Cablecast
All
programs submitted for cable casting must be accompanied by a
program information form, which will include the following:

Short
description of contents (including program category, i.e.
public affairs, music, sports, youth oriented, cultural, religious,
etc. as well as topics discussed and guest names). |

Producers
name and organization. |
| —› |
Date
program was produced. |
| —› |
Length
of program (exact minutes and seconds). |
| —› |
Audio
information pertaining to what channels or track was used
for the master tape. |
